The Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit Jaguars basketball team (West Bloomfield, MI), was overwhelmed 57-28 in Thursday's league battle with the host Academy of the Sacred Heart Gazelles (Bloomfield Hills, MI)

The Gazelles now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Austin Catholic for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 30. Academy of the Sacred Heart will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 34-31 non-league win over Detroit Cristo Rey (Detroit, MI). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-5.

The Jaguars (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Our Lady of the Lakes (Waterford, MI). The Lakers come into the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Our Lady of the Lakes was overwhelmed by Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI), 38-35, in a non-league battle.
