Union Redhawks (Tulsa, OK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bartlesville Bruins (Bartlesville, OK), 41-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Union upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Enid (Enid, OK) to play the Plainsmen in a 6A District 3 bout on Friday, January 26. The Plainsmen come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Enid lost 53-44 in their recent non-league bout against Byng (Ada, OK)

Next up, the Bruins play the Grant Generals (Oklahoma City, OK) in a 6A District 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. Bartlesville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Generals come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 63-29 league loss to Putnam City (Oklahoma City, OK).
