The Hancock Owls basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Battle Lake Battlers to 40 in the Owls league triumph on Thursday.

The Owls now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Hancock will meet a Tigers team coming off a 49-43 non-league win over Osakis (Osakis, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 8-8.

The Battlers (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Brandon/Evansville (Brandon, MN). The Chargers enter the A Section 6 contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Brandon/Evansville triumphed over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley (Graceville, MN), 73-70, in a league contest.
