Collins-Maxwell (Maxwell, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host BCLUW Comets (Conrad, IA), 40-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Collins-Maxwell upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The travel to GMG (Garwin, IA) to play the Wolverines in a Iowa Star bout on Friday, January 26. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 7-8. GMG won 44-23 in their recent league bout against Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA)

Next up, the Comets play the Collins-Maxwell-Baxter Raiders (Maxwell, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. BCLUW will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record.
