The St. Paul Swordsmen basketball team (Santa Fe Springs, CA), was overwhelmed 66-40 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA)

The Knights now possess a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Salle for a Del Rey battle on Tuesday, January 30. Bishop Montgomery will confront a Lancers team coming off a 57-49 non-league win over South Pasadena (South Pasadena, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 21-4.

The Swordsmen (10-15) will now prepare for their battle against St. Mary's Academy (Inglewood, CA). The Belles come into the Del Rey battle with a 14-9 record. In their last battle, St. Mary's Academy was overwhelmed by St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA), 76-58, in a league battle.
