Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV), 42-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Summers County upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV) to play the Tigers in a Cardinal bout on Saturday, January 27. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 8-5. Chapmanville Regional won 42-30 in their recent league bout against Sissonville (Charleston, WV)

Next up, the Beavers play the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, WV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Bluefield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
