Brookland-Cayce Bearcats (Cayce, SC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Dreher Blue Devils (Columbia, SC), 36-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Brookland-Cayce upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC) to play the Diamond Hornets in a AAA Region 5 bout on Friday, January 26. The Diamond Hornets go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Lower Richland won 49-6 in their recent league bout against Dreher (Columbia, SC)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Swansea Tigers (Swansea, SC) in a AAA Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 26. Dreher will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 48-31 league loss to Gilbert (Gilbert, SC).
