Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), 54-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Kewanee upgrades its record to 7-15 on the season. The Boilermakers travel to Farmington (Farmington, IL) to clash with the Farmers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Farmers go into the bout with a record of 4-18. Farmington lost 59-28 in their recent league bout against Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL)

Next up, the Storm clash with the Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL) in a Three Rivers - East bout, on Monday, January 29. Bureau Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 38-31 non-league loss to Rosary (Aurora, IL).
