Cass Colonels (White, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hiram Hornets (Hiram, GA), 56-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cass upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Cartersville (Cartersville, GA) to play the Hurricanes in a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Friday, January 26. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 11-9. Cartersville won 58-45 in their recent league bout against Hiram (Hiram, GA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) in a AAAAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, January 26. Hiram will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Catamounts come into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 52-44 league loss to Calhoun (Calhoun, GA).
