With the win, Mahomet-Seymour upgrades its record to 9-14 on the season. The Bulldogs host Effingham (Effingham, IL) to play the Flaming Hearts in a Apollo bout on Saturday, January 27. The Flaming Hearts go into the bout with a record of 22-4. Effingham won 53-34 in their recent non-league bout against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL)

Next up, the Trojans play the Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL) in a Apollo bout, on Monday, January 29. Charleston will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a 19-6 record after their 41-10 non-league win over Normal University (Normal, IL).
