Chatham Cougars (Chatham, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Summit Hilltoppers (Summit, NJ), 56-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chatham upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to New Providence (New Providence, NJ) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 16-2. New Providence won 63-43 in their recent league bout against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Summit will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Highlanders come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 36-23 non-league loss to Johnson (Clark, NJ).
