Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Oak Knoll Royals (Summit, NJ), 40-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cranford upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Johnson (Clark, NJ) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Johnson won 36-23 in their recent non-league bout against Governor Livingston (Berkeley Heights, NJ)

Next up, the Royals play the Kent Place Dragons (Summit, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Oak Knoll will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record.
