Danville Bears (Danville, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mediapolis Bulldogs (Mediapolis, IA), 66-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Danville upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Central Lee (Donnellson, IA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Central Lee won 64-48 in their recent non-league bout against West Burlington (West Burlington, IA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA) in a SEI - West bout, on Thursday, January 25. Mediapolis will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Nikes come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 64-63 league loss to Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA).
