The Lumberton Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Enterprise Yellowjackets to 26 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Resurrection Catholic for a 1A Region 8 contest on Friday, January 26. Lumberton will battle a Eagles team coming off a 12-0 league loss to East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.
The Yellowjackets (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 8 contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, East Marion triumphed over Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS), 12-0, in a league contest.
