Michigan High School Basketball - West Iron County overwhelmed by Escanaba

The West Iron County Wykons basketball team (Iron River, MI), was overwhelmed 71-46 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI)

The Eskymos now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Calumet for a non-league battle on Friday, January 26. Escanaba will confront a Copper Kings team coming off a 51-38 non-league win over Marquette (Marquette, MI). The Copper Kings record now stands at 7-5.

The Wykons (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI). The Modeltowners come into the non-league battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Gwinn was overwhelmed by Westwood (Ishpeming, MI), 42-39, in a league battle.
