The Espanola Valley Sundevils basketball team (Espanola, NM), dropped 36-20 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM)
The Elks/Elkettes now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taos for a 4A District 2 battle on Saturday, January 27. Pojoaque Valley will battle a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 4-14.
The Sundevils (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Pintos come into the 4A District 2 battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Moriarty dropped by Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM), 52-35, in a league battle.
