The Hancock Hawks (Kiln, MS) basketball crushed the host George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS), 52-16 in Thursday's league test.
The Hawks (23-1) will now prepare for their test against Long Beach (Long Beach, MS). The Bearcats go into the 6A Region 4 test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Long Beach was trounced by Picayune (Picayune, MS), 32-27, in a league test.
The Rebels now own a 8-16 record. They play next when they travel to Picayune for a 6A Region 4 test on Friday, January 26. George County will encounter a Maroon Tide squad coming off a 32-27 league win over Long Beach (Long Beach, MS). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 10-17.
