Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Girard Indians (Girard, OH) and the visiting Struthers Wildcats (Struthers, OH), saw Girard's basketball squad wallop Struthers by a tally of 44-21.

With the victory, Girard improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Indians host Lakeview (Cortland, OH) to confront the Bulldogs in a Northeast Eight challenge on Monday, January 29. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Lakeview lost 28-27 in their recent league challenge against Poland Seminary (Poland, OH)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Struthers will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 59-23 league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, OH).
