Lathrop Spartans (Lathrop, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Grace Davis Spartans (Modesto, CA), 40-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Lathrop upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Spartans travel to Beyer (Modesto, CA) to clash with the Patriots in a Western Athletic Conference bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-18. Beyer lost 59-46 in their recent league bout against Mountain House (Mountain House, CA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Pacheco Panthers (Los Banos, CA) in a Western Athletic Conference bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Grace Davis will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 44-36 league loss to Ceres (Ceres, CA).
