The North Iredell Raiders basketball team (Olin, NC), was overwhelmed 51-26 in Thursday's league battle with the host Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC)

The Red Tornadoes now possess a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Lincoln for a 3A Western Foothills battle on Friday, January 26. Hickory will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 88-68 league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-1.

The Raiders (12-5) will now prepare for their battle against Foard (Newton, NC). The Tigers come into the 3A Western Foothills battle with a 13-4 record. In their last battle, Foard trounced St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 49-45, in a league battle.
