Highland Prep Honey Badgers (Surprise, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mountainside Wolves (Wittmann, AZ), 1-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland Prep upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Honey Badgers travel to Phoenix Christian (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Cougars in a 2A Central bout on Friday, January 26. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Phoenix Christian won 59-51 in their recent non-league bout against St. John Paul II Catholic (Avondale, AZ)

Next up, the Wolves play the Phoenix Christian Cougars (Phoenix, AZ) in a 2A Central bout, on Monday, February 5. Mountainside will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
