Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) and the visiting West Shamokin Wolves (Rural Valley, PA), saw Homer-Center's basketball squad knock off West Shamokin by a count of 38-22.

With the victory, Homer-Center upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Penns Manor (Clymer, PA) to play the Comets in a Heritage challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Penns Manor won 38-36 in their recent league challenge against Marion Center (Marion Center, PA)

Next up, the Wolves play the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) in a Heritage challenge, on Saturday, January 27. West Shamokin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 73-38 league win over Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA).
