Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Jal Panthers (Jal, NM) and the host New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM), saw Jal's basketball squad overcome New Mexico Military Institute by a tally of 32-18.

With the victory, Jal improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Cloudcroft lost 48-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM)

Next up, the Colts confront the Hagerman Bobcats (Hagerman, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. New Mexico Military Institute will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 45-19 non-league win over Dexter (Dexter, NM).
