The Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (Jefferson, PA) basketball felled the visiting Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), 48-31 in Thursday's league test.
The Rockets (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Monessen (Monessen, PA). The Greyhounds go into the WPIAL 1A 2 test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Monessen thwarted West Greene (Waynesburg, PA), 40-25, in a league test.
The Maples now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Avella for a WPIAL 1A 2 test on Monday, January 29. Mapletown will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 49-27 league loss to West Greene (Waynesburg, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-13.
