The King Cove T-Jacks and Rookies basketball team (King Cove, AK), dropped 70-50 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Newhalen Malamutes (Newhalen, AK)
The Malamutes now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Non Varsity Opponent for a non-league battle on Friday, January 26. Newhalen will battle a team coming off a 40-26 non-league loss to Gem State Academy (Caldwell, ID). The record now stands at 100-172.
The T-Jacks and Rookies (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Tanalian (Port Alsworth, AK). The Lynx come into the 1A Aleutian Chain battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Tanalian prevailed over Chief Ivan Blunka (New Stuyahok, AK), 44-29, in a league battle.
