Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), 66-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Lafayette upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to clash with the Golden Tors in a 5A District 3 bout on Friday, January 26. The Golden Tors go into the bout with a record of 12-14. Sulphur lost 43-32 in their recent league bout against Southside (Youngsville, LA)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. New Iberia will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record.
