Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL), 69-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lamar County upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Sulligent (Sulligent, AL) to play the Blue Devils in a 2A Area 10 bout on Friday, January 26. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 18-1. Sulligent won 60-10 in their recent league bout against Red Bay (Red Bay, AL)

Next up, the Stallions play the Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) in a 1A Area 9 bout, on Monday, January 29. South Lamar will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record.
