Nicollet Raiders (Nicollet, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Loyola Crusaders (Mankato, MN), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nicollet upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Springfield (Springfield, MN) to play the Tigers in a A Section 2 bout on Friday, January 26. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Springfield won 77-66 in their recent league bout against Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Loyola will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 50-33 non-league win over Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN).
