Roy/Winifred Outlaws (Winifred, MT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Malta Mustangs (Malta, MT), 48-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roy/Winifred upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Outlaws travel to Belt (Belt, MT) to play the Huskies in a C District 8 bout on Saturday, January 27. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Belt won 58-20 in their recent league bout against Grass Range/Winnett (Grass Range, MT)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Fairview Warriors (Fairview, MT) in a B District 2 bout, on Saturday, January 27. Malta will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Culbertson (Culbertson, MT).
