Alaska High School Basketball - Nuniwarmiut overwhelmed by Nelson Island

The Nelson Island Islanders basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Nuniwarmiut Herders to 23 in the Islanders non-league victory on Thursday.
The Islanders now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chaputnguak for a 1A Alaska Coastal contest on Friday, January 26. Nelson Island will battle a Shaman team coming off a 54-45 non-league win over Nelson Island (Toksook Bay, AK). The Shaman record now stands at 2-1.
The Herders (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ayaprun (Newtok, AK). The Jaegers come into the 1A Alaska Coastal contest with a 0-0 record.
