California High School Basketball - Willows knocked off by Pierce

The Pierce Bears basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Willows Honkers to 28 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.

The Bears now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winters for a Sacramento Valley contest on Tuesday, January 30. Pierce will battle a Warriors team coming off a 48-18 league win over Live Oak (Live Oak, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 15-5.

The Honkers (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Durham (Durham, CA). The Trojans enter the Sacramento Valley contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Durham was defeated by East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA), 46-35, in a league contest.
