The Plainfield East Bengals basketball team scored 87 points and held the visiting Plainfield Central Wildcats to 53 in the Bengals league triumph on Thursday.
The Bengals now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Charles North for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Plainfield East will battle a North Stars team coming off a 61-48 league win over St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The North Stars record now stands at 21-3.
The Wildcats (2-17) will now prepare for their contest against Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 11-14 record. In their last contest, Naperville North was routed by Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL), 50-41, in a non-league contest.
