St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Mary's Academy Belles (Inglewood, CA), 76-58 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Anthony upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Saints travel to King/Drew (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 15-5. King/Drew won 73-4 in their recent league bout against GALA (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Belles play the St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA) in a Del Rey bout, on Tuesday, January 30. St. Mary's Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Swordsmen go into the bout with a 10-15 record after their 66-40 league loss to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA).
