In Thursday's non-league outing, the Ascend Leadership Aviators (Sanford, NC) basketball squad edged the host Clover Garden School Grizzlies (Burlington, NC), by a count of 21-18.
The Aviators (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 7-5 record.
The Grizzlies now hold a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern Wake Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 30. Clover Garden School will meet a Lions team coming off a 40-37 non-league loss to Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC). The Lions record now stands at 7-5.
