The West Stanly Colts basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting North Stanly Comets to 43 in the Colts non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Colts now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. West Stanly will meet a Cougars team coming off a 38-16 non-league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-10.

The Comets (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Union Academy ran past Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 34-32, in a non-league contest.
