Maranatha Christian Eagles (San Diego, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Coastal Academy Stingrays (Oceanside, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles confront the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders (San Marcos, CA) in a Ocean challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Maranatha Christian will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record.

The Stingrays now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Joseph Academy for a Ocean challenge on Monday, February 5.
