In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Unity Christian Lions basketball team scored a close 47-45 triumph over the Arcola Purple Riders.
The Lions (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland (Toledo, IL). The Pirates go into the non-league contest with a 14-8 record. In their last contest, Cumberland nipped Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Purple Riders confront the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights (Arthur, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Arcola will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 5-15 record after their 46-41 non-league loss to Cumberland (Toledo, IL).
