Maine High School Basketball - Caribou sneaks past Mount Desert Island

The Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME) basketball edged the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 59-55 in Saturday's league bout.
The Vikings now possess a 14-1 record. They play next when they travel to Old Town for a B North bout on Saturday, February 1. Caribou will play a Coyotes team coming off a 47-44 league win over Washington Academy (East Machias, ME). The Coyotes record now stands at 11-7.
With the loss, Mount Desert Island falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to play the Ponies in a B North bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Ponies go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Foxcroft Academy lost 45-44 in their recent league bout against Hermon (Hermon, ME)
