In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions basketball team scored a close 68-64 triumph over the Central Yellow Jackets.

The Lions (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Louisville, KY). The Bears go into the non-league contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Butler nipped DeSales (Louisville, KY), 81-70, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets battle the Moore Mustangs (Louisville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Central will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 10-7 record after their 53-47 league win over Bullitt Central (Shepherdsville, KY).
