Georgia High School Basketball - Gainesville sneaks past Chattahoochee

The Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) basketball edged the host Chattahoochee Cougars (Alpharetta, GA), 64-61 in Saturday's league bout.
The Red Elephants now possess a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to Roswell for a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 28. Gainesville will play a Hornets team coming off a 87-60 non-league loss to Centennial (Roswell, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 8-12.
With the loss, Chattahoochee falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Seckinger (Buford, GA) to play the Jaguars in a AAAAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Seckinger won 68-35 in their recent non-league bout against New Faith Christian Academy (Riverdale, GA)
