The East Ascension Spartans basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting St. Amant Gators to 51 in the Spartans league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now have a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Arthur for a non-league game on Monday, January 27. East Ascension will confront a Tigers team coming off a 58-51 league win over Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-18.

With the loss, St. Amant falls to 19-18 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Prairieville (Prairieville, LA) to confront the Hurricanes in a 5A District 5 game on Monday, January 27. The Hurricanes go into the game with a record of 8-11. Prairieville lost 70-33 in their recent league game against St. Amant (St. Amant, LA)
