The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Easton Bears (Easton, ME) and the visiting East Grand Vikings (Dansforth, ME), observed Easton's basketball team overwhelm East Grand by a score of 69-19.

The Bears (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Van Buren (Van Buren, ME). The Crusaders come into the D North challenge with a 0-14 record. In their last challenge, Van Buren was routed by Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME), 81-17, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) in a D North challenge, on Monday, January 27. East Grand will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 76-24 non-league loss to Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME).
