In Saturday's league test, the Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME) basketball squad got by the visiting Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), by a score of 45-44.
Next, the Hawks encounter the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) in a B North test, on Wednesday, January 29. Hermon will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Riots come into the test with a 14-5 record after their 52-41 league win over John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME).
The Ponies (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME). The Trojans come into the B North test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Mount Desert Island was nipped by Caribou (Caribou, ME), 59-55, in a league test.
