The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Friends Academy Quakers (Locust Valley, NY) and the host Lawrence Golden Tornadoes (Cedarhurst, NY), observed Friends Academy's basketball team knock off Lawrence by a score of 51-37.
The Quakers (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Hempstead (Hempstead, NY). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record.
In their next game, the Golden Tornadoes encounter the Malverne Mules (Malverne, NY) in a Section 8 VIII challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Lawrence will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Mules come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 65-56 league loss to Friends Academy (Locust Valley, NY).
