West Virginia High School Basketball - Lewis County nips Greenbrier East

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) and the visiting Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV), observed Lewis County's basketball team edge Greenbrier East by a margin of 69-63.

The Minutemen (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Bearcats come into the Big Ten challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Grafton was tipped by Liberty (Clarksburg, WV), 48-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Greenbrier East will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 67-64 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV).
