North Carolina High School Basketball - Hoke County thwarts Scotland

January 25, 2025: Raeford, NC 28376

The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) and the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), observed Hoke County's basketball team knock off Scotland by a score of 76-61.

The Bucks (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the 3A/4A Sandhills challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Lee County was knocked off by Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 76-60, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Fighting Scots encounter the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Scotland will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 55-42 non-league win over West Cabarrus (Concord, NC).
