The Samson Tigers nipped the visiting Houston County Lions basketball squad by a final score of 66-65 in Saturday's league outing.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL) in a 2A Area 2 outing, on Monday, January 27. Samson will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Bears enter the outing with a 11-4 record after their 75-42 league win over Geneva County (Hartford, AL).
