The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Jasper Vikings (Jasper, AL) and the visiting Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL), observed Jasper's basketball team overwhelm Marion County by a score of 92-25.
The Vikings (20-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Cullman (Cullman, AL). The Bearcats come into the 6A Area 13 challenge with a 22-4 record. In their last challenge, Cullman trounced Jasper (Jasper, AL), 61-59, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Red Raiders encounter the Vina Red Devils (Vina, AL) in a 1A Area 13 challenge, on Monday, January 27. Marion County will attempt to improve on its 10-13 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 57-53 non-league win over Tharptown (Russellville, AL).
