The W D Mohammed Caliphs basketball squad (Atlanta, GA), was nudged 70-64 in Saturday's league battle with the host Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA)
With the victory, Lamar County advances its record to 7-12 on the year. The Trojans host Putnam County (Eatonton, GA) to meet the War Eagles in a A D1 Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 28. The War Eagles enter the battle with a record of 19-1. Putnam County won 100-43 in their recent league battle against Utopian Academy for the Arts (Ellenwood, GA)
The Caliphs now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest Atlanta Christian for a A D1 Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 28. W D Mohammed will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 71-40 league loss to Greenforest (Decatur, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-16.
