The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Lyle/Wishram Cougars (Lyle, WA) and the visiting Trout Lake Mustangs (Trout Lake, WA), observed Lyle/Wishram's basketball team overwhelm Trout Lake by a score of 58-36.

The Cougars (5-10) will now prepare for their challenge against South Wasco County (Maupin, OR). The Redsides come into the 1A Big Sky challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, South Wasco County trounced Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR), 58-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Dufur Rangers (Dufur, OR) in a 1A Big Sky challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Trout Lake will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 70-49 league win over Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler (Mitchell, OR).
